D-Day

Today is "D-Day." Is it a war or not? The Obama Administration has until close of business today to ask for Congressional approval concerning the action in Libya. Interestingly, Obama and Boehner are scheduled to play golf together this weekend. Hopefully the Obama lawyers will file the necessary paperwork with Congress. If not, the President will likely cancel the golf outing, "citing national security matters," and then travel to Camp David for the weekend. The chairmen of the House Armed Services and Budget Committees should schedule hearings for this Tuesday, just to make sure that the White House gets the message: The President is the Commander-in-Chief, but Congress declares wars.
